The city is located in Summit County, north of Akron, Ohio and Southeast of Cleveland, Ohio.
In June 2009 Hudson was rated as one of the most expensive suburbs to live in, in the United States, by MSN.
The City is named after David Hudson, who founded it in 1799.
The Underground railroad passed through the city. Hudson was also the home of the abolitionist John Brown.
